A beach day has more logistics than it looks: which coast given the wind, which row of sunbeds, when to arrive, where lunch is and how far it is from the towel. Handled separately these are four small frictions; handled together they disappear.

We choose the coast for the forecast, reserve the sunbeds in writing, and put lunch and the driver on the same clock.
