August and September, in numbers

The regional tourism observatory has published the 2025 figures. They cover the island as a whole and describe the two months we work most. Read plainly, they settle a common assumption.

August 2025

1,028,783 arrivals. 5,456,409 presences. An average stay of 5.30 days. August remains the densest month of the year — on the roads, on the water, at the tables.

September 2025

809,634 arrivals. 3,485,434 presences. An average stay of 4.30 days. September follows August closely on arrivals, with visibly less pressure on the same places.

Two months, one core

Together, August and September account for about 36% of the year's arrivals and about 41% of its presences. That is the core of the season, and September is its quieter half — not a marginal month, not a tail.

One more figure for planning: 56% of 2025 presences were international. Germany was the first European market; the United States was the first market outside Europe. The island's high season is an international one, and September is when it breathes.
